Lolita A. "Minnie" Wagner, age 99 of Defiance, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday morning, March 30, 2023 at Kingsbury Place in Defiance.
She was born in Paulding County, Ohio on July 2, 1923 to the late Frank and Bertha (Dunkelbarger) Naveau. On June 29, 1941 she married Paul F. Wagner, who preceded her in death on November 7, 1993.
Minnie was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church and enjoyed her involvement with the Quilting Ladies, the Clothes Closet, and helping with church bulletins. She worked for five years as a bookkeeper for Charles Company, and for over 16 years as a manager for Roggie Floor Covering until her retirement in 1974. Minnie was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother.
Minnie is survived by her son David Wagner of Defiance, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Norden.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at St. John Lutheran Church. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Pastor Kurt Mews officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
