Lois Jean Baker, 89, Defiance, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 14, 2022, at Defiance Promedica Hospital.
Lois was born to Sherley and Ruby Fast on January 27, 1933, in Williams County, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Allan A. Baker, Jr.; sons Michael, Allan Jeffrey (Jeff), and Timothy; a daughter, Pamela (Bruce) Tressler; and a brother, Robert Fast.
Lois is survived by a son, Christopher (Lesly) Baker, Sonoma, CA; 3 daughters: Debra (William) Hood, San Luis Obispo, CA; Teresa (John) Steingass, Coldwater, MI; and Linda Clemens, Toledo, OH. She was also blessed with 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Lois is also survived by 2 sisters, Ruth Yuill, Novi, MI; and Marjorie (Mike) Bennett, Bryan, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Lois resided at Glenn Park in Defiance her last years where she enjoyed many friendships, playing Wii Bowling, and winning many Bingo games. She also pursued drawing and painting, a talent from her younger years.
A Memorial Service will be held at Ayersville United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Maurice Dunn officiating. Viewing will be at the church for one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 am, with burial at Ayersville Cemetery immediately following the service.
