Linda L. Spears

Linda L. Spears, 70, of Oakwood, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at her home in Oakwood, with her husband by her side.  
 
She was born on August 30, 1948 to Wilbur and Kathryn (Feeney) Baldwin in Defiance, Ohio. On November 6, 1973 she married Ricky Spears, who resides in Oakwood, Ohio.  

Linda worked for several years at Twin Rivers Care and Rehabilitation Center until her retirement. In her leisure time she enjoyed Bingo, and going to The Bluegrass Opry Barn in Oakwood. Being with her family was always her priority, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

Linda will be sadly missed by her family, including her loving husband of 45 years, Ricky Spears of Oakwood, sons, David (Joy) Spears of Defiance, and James Spears of Defiance, daughters, Cindy (Daniel) Schaffer of Defiance, Norma Spears of Oakwood, and Brenda Fraley of Paulding, 12 grandchildren, a brother, Guy (Shirley) Baldwin of Paulding, and sisters, Ellen Reed and Mary (Bill) Ellison, all of Defiance.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Schlegel, a brother, Gene Baldwin, and two grandsons, Dustin Fraley and Gabriel Fraley.
 
Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 23rd at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery.
 
Memorials are suggested to The American Cancer Society, or Great Lakes Hospice.
