Leroy Howard

Leroy Howard, age 61 of Edgerton, Ohio, passed away on Friday morning, September 12, 2025 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born in Garrett, IN on March 3, 1964 to Bobby and Dorothy (Shank) Howard. Leroy was a graduate of Penn Foster High School. He worked for Dekalb County Highway Department for the State of Indiana until his retirement. In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting and fishing, he loved being outdoors, and he recently picked up playing the guitar.

Leroy is survived by his children, Natasha (Tracy) Rioux and Adam (Fae) Howard, his mother Dorothy (Ted) Cagle of Deer Lodge, TN, and three sisters, Penny Hinkley, Margaret (Henry) Gibson, and Donna (Randall) Grissith. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Rylee, Izabella and Phebe Oliver, Damien Rioux and Finyx Eveningrose.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Howard, his wife Cynthia Howard, and daughter Ashley Howard.

There will be no services. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
