Leo Douglas Becker was welcomed into the world on August 28, 1953 by his parents Ivan and Ruth (Hausbeck) Becker. On November 18, 1972 he married the love of his life Denise (Wing) Becker in Lincoln, MI. On September 15, 1977 he welcomed his first son Douglas Randall Becker, December 1,1979 he welcomed his second son Eric John Becker. On September 4, 2023 he went to meet his eternal maker peacefully with his loving family by his side.
Leo had many hobbies throughout his life, in his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. Shortly after moving to Ohio in the early 1990’s also he picked up golfing which he thoroughly enjoyed up until his body would not let him.
Leo was hired into General Motors Corp. in the early 1970’s in Saginaw, MI, in 1984 he transferred to Shreveport, LA where he stayed until transferring to Defiance Foundry in 1990. He would continue to work in Defiance until his Retirement in the early 2000’s.
Later in life Leo would spend his time between Defiance, OH, Davenport, FL, and Bay City, MI enjoying time with many friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife Denise (Wing) Becker of Defiance, sons Douglas (Holly) Becker and Eric Becker, all of Defiance, grandchildren Hayden, Hailey, Taylor, Jackson, and Nolan Becker, all of Defiance. He also leaves behind his siblings, Jim (Tena) Becker of Missouri, Tom (Linda) Becker, Marion (Gerald) Timm, Marcie (Rick) Houghtaling, Tina Corrion, all of Michigan and Becky Daves of Virginia, sisters-in-law Pam Harmon and Ellen (Brian) Knight, all of Oklahoma, and Karla (Sam) Harper of Michigan, and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Ruth Becker, older brother Ivan, infant brother John, In laws Howard and Alvina Wing, brother-in law Rod Harmon, and most recently daughter-in-law Amber Becker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. William Stottlemyer officiating.
