Lasaro Lopez, Sr.

Lasaro "Lupe" Lopez Sr., age 79 of Defiance, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at The Laurels of Defiance.   
  
He was born in Mathis, Texas on February 27, 1946 to the late Felipe and Monico Lopez. On July 16, 2000 he married Pamela (Golombisky) Lopez who survives. Lupe worked at Johns Manville for several years until his retirement. In his leisure time he enjoyed vintage cars, gambling, boating, fishing and a good BBQ. He will be greatly missed by his family and many good friends.
  
Lupe is survived by his loving wife Pamela of Defiance, nine children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one sister. 
  
He was preceded in death by his parents and one child.

There will be no services. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
