Kenneth B. Cantrell, Sr. 74, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, December 1, 2014 at Mercy Hospital of Defiance.  
 
He was born on May 11, 1940 to Paul and Vallie (Row) Cantrell in Rockhouse, Kentucky. On  December 24, 1971 he married Barbara (Keller) Cantrell.
 
Kenneth was a member of Second Baptist Church in Defiance. He worked at General Motors for 38 years until his retirement in 1996.  He was a member of VFW Post #3360
 
Kenneth is survived by his loving spouse of 43 years, Barbara of Defiance, son, Jeffery Cantrell of Sylvania, Ohio, children from his previous marriage; Kenneth Cantrell Jr. of Anaheim, CA,  daughters, Shevella McCoy, Lora Coleman, and Samantha Rodriguez, all of Pikeville, KY, and Janet Cantrell of Wisconsin, sisters, Sharon (Bill) Ramey of Rockhouse, KY, and Alda McCurry of Pikeville, KY, 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Vallie Cantrell, brother, Charles Cantrell, sisters, Ann Branham, Juanita Coleman, and Geneva Phipps.
 
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, where Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2014 at 10:00 am with Pastor Max Begley officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Defiance.
