Karl G. Zimmerman

Karl G. Zimmerman, age 86 of Defiance, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 at his home in Defiance, Ohio.   
  
He was born in Wauseon, Ohio on May 24, 1938 to Robert and Mary (Moore) Zimmerman. He attended Wauseon High School and was a former member of the Moose Lodge #2094 and the Wauseon Historical Museum Society at the fairgrounds. Karl worked at Winzeler Stamping until 1996 and retired from A Stamp in 2021. Karl loved auctions and was a collector of "all" things. He enjoyed restaurant hopping and joking with the waitresses. Karl liked to socialize and was always making new friends. 
  
Karl is survived by his children; John (Lisa) Zimmerman of Holgate, Randoulph Zimmerman, Lisa Anderson, James Zimmerman, and Kelly (Rachel) Zimmerman, all of Napoleon, stepsons; Todd (Diane) Jewell of Toledo and Tim (Kathy) Jewell of Defiance, stepdaughters; Terry Fox and Trenda (Chris) Jewell, all of Defiance, 25 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, his brother, Milton "Pete" (Louise) Zimmerman, and sisters, Helen, Sue and Kyle.  
  
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Dennis Zimmerman, stepdaughter, Tracy Perez, grandson, Terry Watson, Jr., great-granddaughter, Bobbi Hoffman, brother, Rodger Zimmerman, and sister, Juanita Rupp.
  
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
