Karen Anne Weaks

Karen Anne Weaks age 72, passed away September 16th at St Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. She was born November 27, 1950 in Napoleon, Ohio. She graduated from Defiance High School in 1968. Karen attended the University of Toledo with a degree in Primary Education. She had a career in retail starting at the Lion Store and retiring from Elder Beerman where she was Human Resource Manager for many years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Beverly Weaks of Defiance, Ohio.  Karen is survived by her sister Bonnie Kirkpatrick (Robert), her brothers, Michael Weaks (Deb), Gary Weaks (Phyllis), Randy Weaks (Katherine) and many nieces and nephews as well as long-time friend and support Vikki Enos of Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

Karen loved her Irish heritage, The Ohio State Buckeyes, cooking, and General Hospital. She was an avid reader, was knowledgeable on current events and politics, and was an avid buyer and seller of antiques. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter and her beautiful smile. She had a personality that matched her auburn hair, and was a loyal friend. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. 

Please celebrate Karen’s love for life, her ambition for knowledge, and her loyal friendships in your own way as she has requested no formal services.
