Obituary

Junior E. Bolley, age 91 of Holgate, Ohio, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Monday evening, July 31, 2023 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born on February 25, 1932 to the late Earl and Bess (Roth) Bolley in Defiance, Ohio. Junior proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. On May 10, 1954 he married Jane Yant, who preceded him in death on June 8, 2000.

Junior was a faithful member of Pleasant Bend Methodist Church. He was a life-long farmer and had a true passion for working on his farm and spending time with his family. In his leisure time he enjoyed watching "Leave it to Beaver" and Westerns, and he LOVED ice cream.

Junior will be sadly missed by his daughters; Debra Wolff, Lora (Glen) Lockhart, and Sue Ann (David) Bolley, all of  Defiance, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren with one on the way, and his sister, Phyllis Rader of Defiance.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Bolley, his sister, Betty Kuhn, and son-in-law, David Wolff.

A private graveside service was held at Ayersville Cemetery. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to CHP Defiance Hospice Center, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
