June R. (Clarke) Skiver

June R. Skiver, age 83 of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Wood Haven Healthcare Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.  
  
She was born in Oxford, England on October 7, 1941 to the late Leslie and Dorothy (Chaulk) Clarke, and moved to the United States in 1963. On June 14, 1963 she married Clyde Skiver, who preceded her in death on March 7, 2022. 
  
June attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Junction, Ohio. She treasured her years spent as a homemaker with her family. She loved to sew and was an exceptional seamstress. Her hand stitches rival a sewing machine stitch. She also enjoyed gardening spending many hours tending flowers and vegetables. June and Clyde enjoyed going to casinos and scratch-off lottery tickets, mostly purchased at the service desk at the Defiance Meijer store. June was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and so many that loved her. 
  
June is survived by her loving children, Paula Skiver of Bowling Green, OH and Steve (Kath) Burrows of Chalgrove, England, and her brother Michael Clarke of Oxford, England. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Craig Burrows, Becca (Jethro) Clark, Dylan (Laura) Hall, Elisabeth "Lizzy" (Brock Williams) Hall, and Evie Clark. 
  
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Clarke.
 
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Potter-Klein Cemetery in Paulding County, 0hio, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating.
