Juan Campos, Jr.

Juan Campos Jr., age 78 of Defiance, passed away at home with his family by his side on Monday, November 18, 2024.   
  
He was born on January 12, 1946 to the late Maria (Concenico) and Juan Campos Sr. in San Antonio, Texas. On May 27, 1994 he married Maria Garza, who survives. 
  
Juan was a member of Defiance Moose Lodge #2094, Eagles #372 and VFW #3360. He worked at General Motors for 40 years until his retirement. He loved golfing and fishing, and enjoyed playing cards, volleyball, and traveling with his wife. He absolutely loved retirement and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 
 
Juan is survived by his loving wife Maria Campos of Defiance, his children, Christine V. Hill, Camelia Campos, Adelaida (Jeffrey) Thompson, Marissa Holt, Robert (Belinda) Ramirez Jr., Ruby Facundo, Bobby (Felix) Garcia, Racquel (Troy) Meyer, Paul G. (Elizabeth) Ramirez, his sister Juanita Botello, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
  
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Juan Campos III, daughter Gina Mederios, sister Helen Roses, and brother Robert "Mouse" Campos.  
  
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Believers Church International. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm at the church, with Pastor Pete Flores officiating.
