Johnny "John" L Huff

Johnny Lee Huff, age 64 of Defiance, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center surrounded by loved ones. 
  
He was born on May 11, 1960 to the late David and Betty (Scott) Huff in Defiance. John was a graduate of Defiance High School and worked at Campbell Soup Company for 40 years as a tow motor driver. That is where he met Monica Allen, his partner of over 40 years. Together they raised Sharee Geesey, his step-daughter that he loved as his own.
  
John loved family, friends, laughing, telling jokes, making others feel cared about, and being a friend.
  
Johnny is survived by Monica of Defiance, stepdaughter, Sharee (John) Geesey of Montpelier, Ohio; brother, David Huff of Van Wert, Ohio; and sisters, Gwen (Scott) Roth of Defiance and Lesa Foster of Bryan, Ohio. He also leaves behind one step-granddaughter, Haley Karr, and three step-great-grandchildren, Noah, Alaina and Rylee 
  
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Johnny prayed the prayer of salvation and asked Jesus into his life, so it's not goodbye.... it's see you later to those who prayed that same prayer!!!
  
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 6th at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Kennedy officiating. There will be no graveside services.
