Jean McMasters (Warncke)

Jean  McMasters (Warncke), 86, of Auburn, IN passed away on Thursday September 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by loved ones! 
  
She was born on September 28, 1938 to Walter and Thelma (Mercer) McMasters at Clayton, NM. Jean earned her nursing degree from NW State Community College then worked as an LPN for Community Hospital of Williams County, Ohio Art, Campbell Soup Company and The Defiance Clinic.  She graduated from Breckenridge Training School in Morehead, Ky.  

Jean was married to LeRoy Warncke for 39 years they then divorced, LeRoy passed away in 2010.
  
Jean is survived by her loving daughters, Tammy Lynn (Lyle) Davis of Denver, IN, and Patricia Ann Taylor of Auburn, IN.  Granddaughters, Grace Davis and Sydnie Taylor.  Her sister Kay Adkins of Delta, OH.  Her brother, Scott McMasters of Sun Lakes, AZ, special friend, Danny Zeedyk of Sherwood, OH and her dog Hunter. 
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Ann Henderson.
  
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 24th at the funeral home, with one hour of additional visitation before the service. Jean will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance. Jean will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery, Defiance.
