Jane A (Posey) Tressler

Jane A. Tressler, age 76 of Defiance, peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Park View Care Center in Edgerton, Ohio.  
  
She was born on July 1, 1945 to Hazel (Ballew) and Flonnie D. Posey Sr. in Athens, Georgia. She worked for several years as a housekeeper at Twin Rivers Care Center in Defiance. Jane was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and she enjoyed bowling and writing poems. She loved spending time with her family.  
  
Jane will be sadly missed by her sons; Bruce Tressler, Douglas (Regina Bidlack) Tressler, and Thomas Tressler, all of Defiance, her brothers; Flonnie (Jan) Posey Jr., Ronnie (Marilyn) Posey, and Donnie (Diane) Posey, all of Defiance, her sisters, Fran Culp of Defiance, and Margaret Minch of Continental, OH. She also leaves three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, George Shock, and her former husband, Russell Tressler.
  
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Due to CDC guidelines if you are not fully vaccinated a mask is required to enter the funeral home, and our lounge area will remain closed. Burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
