James Terrance Barney

James T. Barney passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. He was born on July 10, 1943 to Burnard and Blanche (Murphy) Barney in Toledo, Ohio. On January 21, 1967 he was wed to Frances Rogge. From his teenage years on, James was an avid enthusiast of all things related to motor vehicles. He was a charter member of Noble Township Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the Defiance Chapter of the Vintage Motor Car Club of America, and the Model T. Ford Club of America. James proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

James is survived by his wife, his son Terrance (Jeannie) Barney, his grandsons Caleb and Gabriel (Rebecca) Barney, great-granddaughters Daisy and Calla Barney, and his brother Burnard (Nona) Barney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Gwen, brothers Norman and Walter Barney, sisters-in-law Brenda Rogge and Faith Barney, and brother-in-law Frederick Rogge.
