Gracie Nell Taylor

Gracie N. Taylor, age 76, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday morning, November 7, 2023 at her daughter's home in Sherwood, Ohio. 
  
She was born on November 24, 1946 to Alfred and Bonnie (Messer) Bray in Defuniak Springs, Florida. On March 29, 1964 she married James Leon Taylor, who preceded her in death on June 10, 2001. 

Gracie worked at Campbell's Soup Company in Napoleon, Ohio for 30 years until her retirement in 2000. She enjoyed crocheting and collecting dolls. Gracie was a loving and caring wife, mother and mamaw. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
  
Gracie is survived by her children, James (Jon) Taylor-Zaborski of Arizona and Christina "Tammy" Grant of Sherwood, OH, two grandchildren, Amber (Alex) Jacko and Brandi Grant, both of Defiance, her great-grandson, Karter Grant, and her sister, Doris Scott of Napoleon, OH. 
  
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two children, Lisa and Jody Taylor, her brother, Larry Bray, and sister, Gwen Countryman.
  
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating. Gracie will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery. 
  
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
