George Michael Lasley, 66, of Defiance, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, May 9, 2025.
He was born on February 22, 1959 to the late Hubert and Nell (Counts) Lasley in Defiance, Ohio. George attended Fairview High School and graduated from Four County Career Center for diesel mechanic work, becoming ASE certified. He worked as a Mechanic for Nelson and Bob's and Stykemain GMC in Defiance for a number of years. George attended Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, Junction, Ohio, and was a member of the NRA. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1979. He enjoyed fishing and target practice shooting. He will be greatly missed by his family and many good friends.
George is survived by his loving significant other of over 22 years, Debbie K. Adkins of Defiance; sons, Jason (Taylor) Lasley and Bradley (Donna) Adkins; his mother, Nancy (Ray) Buell; nine grandchildren; sisters, Brenda (Kevin) Johnson, Teresa Bryant, Nancy Michael, and Angela (Russ) Hearne; brothers, Hubert Lasley Jr., William (Diana) Ted, and Phillip (Cheryl) Buell, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Adam Bryant.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21st, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, Junction, Ohio. A Memorial service will follow at 11:00 at the Church with Rev. Ray Buell officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW #3360.
