Gary W. Fairchild, Jr.

Gary W. "Bill"  Fairchild Jr., age 54 of Sherwood, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at his home in Sherwood, Ohio.  
  
He was born on August 10, 1968 to Gary and Cheryl (Hall) Fairchild in Defiance, Ohio. Gary was an EMT and firefighter for Delaware and Ney Fire Departments. He worked as a Foreman for MEC, Inc. in Defiance for 16 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, car races, and working at the fire departments. He loved spending time with his family.
  
Gary will be sadly missed by his parents, Gary and Cheryl Fairchild of Defiance, his brother, Tony (Joan) Fairchild of Defiance, his fiancée, Kelly Louiselle of Sherwood, his nephew, AJ (Kayla) Fairchild of Defiance, and his niece, Tiffany Fairchild of Helena, Montana. 
  
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Opal Hall and Orville and Edna Fairchild.
  
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton St.) in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Schaffer Funeral Home South, with Pastor Max Begley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens.
