Ellen J. (English) Bishop

Ellen J. Bishop, 63, of Defiance, passed away after a long illness on September 14, 2025, at Brookview Healthcare Center.  

Ellen was born May 15, 1962, to Bernard J. English and Pauline M. (Klingler), who proceeded her in death along with her beloved husband, Craig A. Bishop.

Ellen is survived by her step-children, Sarah Coy of Defiance, James Bishop of Bryan, and Collin Bishop of Napoleon; grandchildren Dacey Bishop of Bryan, Lilyann Martin, Jayden Fisher of Defiance, and Wyatt Johns of Joliet, IL; sisters, Vicky (John) Lotz of Florida, Bernadette Bokerman of Arizona; sister-in-law, Pam Bishop of Bryan, and Dina (Mike) Coulier of Bryan; nieces and nephews, Linda (James) Crowton, Cindy (Larry) Snyder of Nevada, Ryan and Brentan Bokerman of Arizona, and Grant (Amy) Bokerman of New Jersey.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Craig Bishop, brother, Bernard English Jr., and many aunts, uncles and friends.
