Elizabeth Ann Zuber

Elizabeth Ann Zuber, age 85, of Paulding, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at CHP Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance.
  
She was born on August 6, 1938 to Vern Shirley and Irene (Englemann) Stork in Defiance. Elizabeth worked for Johns Manville for over 25 years until her retirement. On August 16, 1958 she married Thomas Zuber and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1973. Elizabeth was a member of Johns-Manville Retirees, Defiance County Arts Society, Defiance Moose Lodge #2094, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #372 and a lifetime member of Defiance VFW Post #3360. She enjoyed painting, cake decorating, crafts and gardening. She never knew a stranger and was friends with many people. She will be missed by many family members and friends.
  
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Terry Zuber of Defiance, Michael (Julie) Zuber and Timothy (Amber) Zuber, both of Antwerp, daughters Patricia Zuber of Defiance, Barbara Grant of Paulding, and Tammy (Mark) Behnfeldt of Napoleon, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, brothers, Vern (Barbara) Stork of Decatur, IN, and Michael Stork of Defiance, sisters, Judy Shaffer, Deborah (Robert) Ramon, and Gloria (Dennis) Arps, all of Defiance, Sisters-in-law, Gail Stork and Peggy Stork, and many nieces and nephews. 
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Nelson, Larry, Gary and Paul Stork, brother, and son-in-law, Larry Grant.
  
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 2:00 - 7:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Schaffer Funeral Home11:00 am with Deb Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
