Douglas "Doug" A. Harrow

Douglas "Doug" A. Harrow, 71, of Defiance, passed away on May 23, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  

He was born on June 26, 1953 to Richard and Luetta (Brandt) Harrow in Norman, OK. Doug was a 1971 graduate of Defiance High School. He graduated from Owen's Community College in 1974 where he earned an Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement. On November 8, 2011, he married Lori Bauman-Gomez.

Doug worked as a Police Officer serving the Defiance area for 25 years. He was a member of the Defiance AmVets Post #1991, Defiance VFW Post #3360, Defiance Elks Lodge #147, Defiance Moose Lodge #2094, and Defiance Eagles Aerie #372. Doug was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Guardians, and Cleveland Browns. He had a passion for golfing. He will always be remembered and sadly missed by his family and many good friends.

Doug is survived by his loving wife, Lori Harrow of Defiance; son, Chris (Cheryl) Harrow of Defiance; stepson, Joe (Erin) Gomez of Lima; stepdaughter, Andrea (Jeremy) Flores of Defiance; and 2 Estranged Daughters. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Zachary Harrow, Bradley Harrow, Emily Gomez, Noah Gomez, Amelia Flores; 1 great grandchild on the way; sister, Patty (John) Diemer of Defiance; brother, David (Diane) Harrow of South Carolina, sister-in-law Barb (Tim) Kuhn, brother-in-law Jeff (Daphne) Bauman, mother-in-law Jeanne Bauman, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Luetta Harrow.
