Douglas M. "Doug" Fedderke, age 67 of Defiance, peacefully passed into his heavenly home surrounded by his family on Monday, December 16, 2024.
He was born in Wauseon, Ohio on January 25, 1957 to Maynard and Marcella (Vitous) Fedderke. Doug was a 1975 graduate of Tinora High School. On May 11, 1984 he married Judy (Bloom) Fedderke who survives.
Doug was a faithful member of Archbold Evangelical Church. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for thirty years until his retirement. He enjoyed John Deere collectibles and model trains, and displayed them in "The Train Shed". Doug had a true passion for woodworking. He would generously donate items to families and charities in need. Doug was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and in his leisure time he enjoyed gardening and traveling. Doug will be greatly missed by his family and many good friends.
Doug is survived by his loving wife Judy Fedderke of Defiance, his children, Christina Fedderke of Defiance and Matt (Heather) Fedderke of Napoleon, granddaughter Delaney, his brother Dave (Cathie) Fedderke of Defiance, and his niece, Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Roger Fedderke.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Archbold Evangelical Church. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 20th at the church, with Pastor Nathanael Miles officiating. A private burial will take place at Riverview Memory Gardens.
