Dolores L. (Lantow) Hammon

Dolores Leone Hammon, 97, of Defiance, died on November 18, 2025 in Defiance, Ohio.  

She was born on May 30, 1928 to Edgar and Leona Lantow in Defiance. 

She was a graduate of Defiance High School. She married Richard Hammon. They had three children, Linda (Joseph) Westrick, Cheryl (Gary) Devine, and Jeffrey (Linda) Hammon of Dallas, Texas.

She worked in women's retail for more than 40 years and was last employed at Elder-Beerman. A member of St. Mary Catholic Church, she belonged to the Altar and Rosary Society.

Dolores is survived by her son, two daughters, five granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Sandra Lantow. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lantow.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Fr. Dave Cirata officiating. Dolores will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery.
