Diana "Dee Dee" (Schudel) Riley

Diana "Dee Dee" Riley, age 61, of Defiance, passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2024 at Mercy Defiance Hospital. 

She was born on March 22, 1963 to Charles and Carolyn (Rothenberger) Schudel in Defiance, Ohio. Dee Dee was a 1981 graduate of Defiance High School. She worked for 30 years at Sauder Woodworking in Archbold. She was a member of Defiance Eagles #372 and AmVets #1991. Dee Dee was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns and Indians. She enjoyed watching HGTV and loved seeing her grandkids play sports. Dee Dee was a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Dee Dee is survived by her parents, Charles and Carolyn Schudel of Defiance, her children, Chad Cereghin, Amber Schlosser and Travis Riley, all of Defiance. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Tayvin, Kenneth, Kody, Brooklynn and Braxton, and her siblings, Bill (Julie) Schudel, Tina Dockery, Joe Schudel and Tony (Heather) Schudel. 

She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Norman and Grace Rothenberger, paternal grandparents, Charles and June Schudel, infant twin sisters, Sherry and Terry, and infant granddaughter, Kennedy.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 17th at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Dee Dee will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
