Delores Mae Harmon

Delores Mae Harmon, age 74 of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 16, 2023 at Mercy Defiance Hospital.   
  
She was born on December 17, 1948 to the late John and Frances (McElroy) Cabell in Warriormine, West Virginia. Delores was a faithful member of Restoration Tabernacle Church. She was a full time caregiver, she worked as a Sales Associate for K-Mart for several years, and at Campbell's Soup Company for ten years. Delores was a very hard worker and always had to keep busy doing something. She loved family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to cook, and watch westerns. Delores will be sadly missed by her family and friends. 

Delores is survived by her children, Diane Harmon of Toledo, OH, Brenda Perez, Rickie Harmon and Sherry (David) Lee, all of Defiance, and Michael Harmon of Napoleon, OH. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters, Shirley (Larry) Rutherford of War, WV, Marcilla Cabell of Beckley, WV, and Brenda Woody of Rocky Gap, WV, and her brother, Earl (Denice) Cabell of War, WV. 
  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby McElroy, William, Eugene, and James Cabell, and sisters Judy Cabell and Connie Johnson.
  
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Restoration Tabernacle Church. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Restoration Tabernacle Church, with Rev. Janet Strickland officiating. Burial will take place at 3:00 pm at Grelton Cemetery.
