Debra Marie "Deb" (Floyd) Walters

Debra M. "Deb" Walters, age 73 of Defiance, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 31, 2025.   
  
She was born in Beckley, West Virginia on August 22, 1952 to the late Charles and Katherine (Grahm) Floyd. On August 31, 1968 she married Thomas Walters who preceded her in death. 
  
Deb was a member of Eagles #372, VFW #3360 Auxiliary and AmVets #1991. She owned and operated Defiance H & R Block for 42 years until her retirement. Deb had an extraordinary work ethic and was known for being a workaholic, and she loved to travel.
  
Deb is survived by her loving children, Jamie (Dee) Walters and Angie Walters Brewer, all of Defiance, and Scott (Tina) Walters of Hicksville, her sister Belinda Hamman of Defiance, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 
  
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Jim Floyd, and sister Cindy Britton.
  
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 4-6 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson-Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 5th at the funeral home with Pastor Vicente Cantu officiating. Deb will be laid to rest in Riverview Memory Gardens.
