Deborah K. “Debbi” (Holman) Ayers passed away peacefully at her residence on August 25, 2024, at the age of 74.
Debbi was born on June 12, 1950, in Defiance, Ohio, the first child of William "Bill" and Lois (Graf) Holman. Debbi married Larry Ayers on April 28, 1969.
Debbi graduated in 1968 from Ayersville High School. She was a faithful member of Family Christian Center. Debbi loved to talk to everyone and never met a stranger. For almost 20 years, she was the voice of McDonald’s on Defiance’s East Side, greeting customers with a friendly smile. She will be greatly missed by her family and many good friends.
Debbi is survived by her husband of 55 years, Larry Ayers, and their daughter Heather (Tom) Shininger of Las Vegas, Nevada. She leaves behind her grandchildren that she loved so dearly, Owen and Kennedy, and also her grand-dog Pepper. Debbi is also survived by her mother, Lois Holman Kile of Defiance, and six siblings, Dr. Terry (Suzanne) Holman of Napoleon, Sherri (Larry) Seevers of Defiance, Patricia (Robert) Ayers of Defiance, Michele Carnahan of Garrett, IN, Michael (Carla) Holman of Defiance, and Melissa (Darin) Hussey of Defiance, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Family Christian Center. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 30th at the church, with Pastor Andy Tracy officiating. One hour of visitation will be held before the service. Debbi will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.
