Deanna L. (Culp) Miller

Deanna L. Culp-Miller, 43, of Defiance, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Mercy Defiance Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.   
 
She was born on October 9, 1975 to Dean and Fran (Posey) Culp in Defiance, Ohio. Deanna was a 1994 graduate of Defiance High School, and a graduate of Bowling Green State University. On June 29, 2001 she married Shane E. Miller, who resides in Defiance.

Deanna loved her career as a nurse, where she worked at Promedica Defiance Hospital, Paulding Hospital, and also at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. She was a member of The Ohio Nurses Association, Defiance Media Club, and was a Girl Scout Leader. Deanna lived for her family and always made them her top priority. She enjoyed traveling and creating "new adventures". Deanna will be sadly missed by her family and many good friends and colleagues.
 
Deanna is survived by her husband, Shane Miller of Defiance, mother, Fran Culp of Defiance, her daughter, Reece L. Miller, and son, Dawson W. Miller, brothers, Chris (Christal) Culp of Shelbyville, IN, and Jeff (Carrie) Culp of Defiance, and her nieces and nephews, Bailey, Madi, Lana, and Willa Culp.
 
She was preceded in death by her father, Dean E. Culp.
 
Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be at 11:00 am on Friday, May 17th at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Tracy officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens.
