Daniel T. Wareham

Daniel T. Wareham, age 67 of Holgate, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.   
  
Danny was born on January 30, 1958 to Halden and Bonnie (Doody) Wareham in Defiance, Ohio. On June 30, 1977 he married Tracy (Asher) Wareham who preceded him in death on December 31, 2019. 
  
Danny worked for over 35 years at General Motors in Defiance until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing euchre and poker, golfing and partying. He loved having a good time with his family and friends. He treasured his time spent with his family and grandchildren, family time was very important to him. 
  
Danny is survived by his loving daughters, Melissa (Joshua) Fleetwood of Holgate, OH and Amy (Shane) Eitniear of Defiance, his grandchildren, Kye (Paige) Ankney, Asher Fleetwood, Hannah (DJ) Ray and Chase (Sam) Eitniear, and his great-grandchildren, Quinn Ankney, Mack Ray, Kace Ray and Brooks Eitniear. He also leaves behind his siblings, Kim (Rosie) Wareham of Defiance, Maureen Wareham of New Orleans, LA,  Peggy Wareham and Brian (Uschi) Wareham, all of Tampa, Florida. 
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Halden and Bonnie Wareham, his wife Tracy Wareham, mother-in-law Shirley Asher, sister-in-law Kim Gilmore, and brother-in-law Ron Gilmore.
  
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 beginning at 2:00 pm at 24927 County Road 178 in Defiance. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
