Claire E. Buchman

Claire E. Buchman, age 31 of North Olmsted, Ohio, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday evening, July 12, 2023 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. 
  
She was born on October 17, 1991 to Michael and Anne (DeWolfe) Buchman in Toledo, Ohio. Claire was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Claire had previously worked at Defiance Public Library System at the Hicksville, Ohio branch. She most recently worked as an Administrative Assistant at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center. She enjoyed anything spooky, doing genealogy, attending concerts, and being with her friends and family. One of her true passions in life was History, both Historical Fiction and Non-Fiction. Claire will be sadly missed by her family and many good friends.
  
Claire is survived by her parents, Michael Buchman of Defiance, and Anne (Jerry) Howard of North Olmsted, OH, and her step-siblings; Tamara Cunningham, Christopher Howard and  Jonathan Howard. 
  
She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Buchman, and her grandparents, Harley and Leona Buchman, and Richard and Patricia DeWolfe.
  
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Defiance. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
