Chad R. Shock, age 55 of Defiance, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Fulton Co. Health Center in Wauseon, Ohio.
He was born in Defiance, Ohio on March 14, 1970 to William and Bonnie (Lang) Shock. Chad was a 1988 graduate of Tinora High School. He was an employee of Defiance Metal Products for 25 years. His entrepreurial spirit led him to many successful business pursuits including Evansport Carry Out, Lefty's Pizza and Ranch Motors. He then owned and operated "After Shock" Golf Carts and Equipment for several years and was a member of Defiance Eagles #372. Chad had a true passion for motor sports, car shows, off-roading, and antiques. He absolutely loved spending time with his family and hosting family events. Chad will be remembered for his kind and compassionate nature as well as his great business sense. He will be deeply missed by his family, colleagues, and all who knew him.
Chad is survived by his loving mother, Bonnie Shock of Defiance, his brother, Tracy Shock of Terre Haute, Indiana, four nieces; Brittney, Averi, and Sylvie Shock of Terre Haute, IN, and Darci Shock of Indianapolis, IN, his special friend Amanda Wise, and his beloved canine companion "Abby".
He was preceded in death by his father, William Shock.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 22nd at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating.
