Celinda "Cindy" M. (Garrett) Pinson

Celinda M. "Cindy" Pinson, age 75 of Holgate, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at home surrounded by her loved ones.   
  
She was born in Weston, West Virginia, on October 27, 1949 to Leo and Helen (Crumit) Garrett. On June 17, 1972 she married Greg Pinson who survives. 

Cindy was a faithful member of True Believers Church in Holgate. She proudly earned her Bachelor's degree from Defiance College and worked as a social worker for several nursing homes. Cindy enjoyed playing games and arts and crafts. Above all she cherished her time spent with her family, especially with her grandkids. Cindy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
  
Cindy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Greg Pinson of Holgate, OH, her son, Bart (Charlotte) Pinson, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 
  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christa Hillis, and brothers Hunter "Pork" Garrett and Michael Garrett.
  
There will be a celebration of Cindy's life planned at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
