Cathy Lee (Clellan) Spears

Cathy Lee Clellan Spears, age 72 of Paulding, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 leaving behind her earthly remains to be greeted by her family in heaven. 
  
She was born in Columbus, Ohio on December 2, 1953 to the late John Thomas and Sarah Jane (Simkins) Clellan. Cathy was a 1972 graduate of Defiance High School and worked for The Kroger Company for several years. 

Cathy is survived by her sisters, Janet Ann Ankney of Paulding and Sarah Alice Westrick of Holgate, and her brother, John Thomas (Debbie) Clellan of Defiance, and several nieces and nephews. 
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Nancy Lynn Clellan.
  
A Graveside Service will be held for Cathy at a later date. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
