Brigitte Anna (Schneble) Maynard

Brigitte Anna Maynard, age 77 of Defiance, passed away on Monday evening, December 23, 2024 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, surrounded by her loved ones.   

She was born in Mannheim, Germany on June 24, 1947 to the late Franz and Hildegard (Stein) Schneble. On June 8, 1964 in Germany she married Elva Maynard, who preceded her in death on June 23, 2020. 

Brigitte was an active member of AmVets #1991 in Defiance and went religiously to sign the books. She proudly started the "Tinora Football Moms" organization. Brigitte was an avid fan on The Ohio State Buckeyes and Green Bay Packers. She loved spending time with her family and supporting her grandchildren at their sporting events. She will be sadly missed by her family and many good friends.

Brigitte is survived by her loving sons, Raymond (Lisa) Maynard of Snohomish, WA, Tom Maynard and Danny (Ladonna) Maynard, all of Defiance, six grandchildren, Ryan, Benjamin, Keagan, Kinley and Gavin Maynard, and Madison (Kaleb) Johns, and great-grandchildren Harper and Hadlee. She also leaves behind her sister Christa Lueker of Surprise, AZ, and her brother Holger Schneble of Germany.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Elva Maynard, and brothers Klaus and Jurgen Schneble.

There will be no local visitation or services. Brigitte will be laid to rest in Delbarton, WV. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
