Beth A. (Tolles) Villagomez

Beth Ann (Tolles) Villagomez, age 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Toledo ProMedica Hospital surrounded by her family with her devoted daughter and son-in-law at her bedside.  

Beth was born December 10, 1960 to her loving parents Richard and Janice (Morlock) Tolles in Wood County. Beth's legacy is one marked by selflessness and devotion both professionally and personally. As a single mother, Beth worked diligently to provide for her only daughter, Jenny. She took pride in her various positions at Murphy Mart, Hills, DMP, and GM where of course, she made life long friends. Beth was always a very hard worker until eventually she was put on disability for her health issues. Over the past few years, Beth fought cancer once and had started to fight it a second time. She endured many battles, but gave it her all each time and made it look easy! Truly our "Wonder Woman". Beth loved life more than most people, she had a personality that lit up any room she was in. Her grandkids were her whole world and her love for her family was unmatched. She always had a good word and positive message for anyone going through a tough time. She didn't know a stranger, her heart was big and full of love to give. 

Some of her favorite hobbies include: dancing, reading a good book, doing puzzles, playing games such as Yahtzee, Trouble, and Skip-Bo with family and friends, going to a casino or playing bingo and scratching her lottery tickets hoping to win it big to take care of her family, but most importantly spending time with her family.

Beth found peace and comfort around water, namely the Independence Dam, which she visited frequently with family and friends. The loss of Beth's passing is immeasurable but so too is the impact she had on others during her time here on Earth. Her memory will live on through those lives she touched so profoundly. Forever remembered for embodying strength tempered by kindness, courage softened by compassion, and duty balanced with love. May we find comfort knowing that although gone from our sight, she will never be absent from our hearts. Rest peacefully and free of pain now, sweet Bethy, your legacy endures eternally.

Beth is survived by her parents, Richard and Janice Tolles of Defiance; her daughter, Jennifer (Joseph) Bohn of Defiance; grandchildren, Liam, Aria, and Rayla Bohn of Defiance. She is also survived by her sister, Debra Tolles of Defiance; brother, Michael (Brenda) Tolles of Defiance; sister Susan (Marcus) Kissling-Tolles of Wauseon, as well as one nephew, three nieces, and nine great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents and a great niece, Laticia Nicole.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance on Jefferson Avenue. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 10:30 am at the funeral home, with Celebrant Deb Miller officiating.
