Bernard F. Hahn Sr.

Bernard F. Hahn Sr., age 74 of Bryan, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Tuesday morning, May 3, 2022 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center.  
  
He was born on September 12, 1947 to Chalmer and Betty (Riebesehl) Hahn in Napoleon, Ohio. In 1992 he married Ruth (Battin) Hahn, who preceded him in death in 2015. 
  
Bernard was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and loved his family. He was a talented mechanic and for many years he worked as a tow truck driver for Gunn's in Napoleon. He also worked as a bartender for several years at D.C.'s  Five Star in Napoleon. He enjoyed making trips to WalMart, and his coffee trips to the T.A. Truck Stop in Napoleon. Bernard will be sadly missed by his family and many good friends.
  
Bernard is survived by his sons; Bernard (Melissa) Hahn, Jr. of Stryker, OH and Michael (Robyn) Hahn of Defiance, and his daughters; Mamie Hahn of Goshen, IN, Jessica Fonseca of Wauseon, OH and Melinda Fockler of Leipsic, OH. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, his brother, Michael (Linda) Adkins of Millersburg, IN, and his sister, Karen Wolfrum of Defiance. 
  
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, and two brothers, Terry and Kenny Hahn.
  
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. There will be no services.
