Audrey E. Roth, age 67 of Defiance, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 10, 2023 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.
She was born on June 5, 1955 to Paul and Grace (Farris) Smith in Defiance, Ohio. Audrey was a 1973 graduate of Continental High School. On August 4, 1973 she married David A. Roth at North Mount Zion Church in Continental, Ohio.
Audrey loved children. Her and David were devoted and caring foster parents for many years. Audrey loved to cook and host get togethers with friends and family. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and scrapbooking. Audrey loved every opportunity she got to go shopping or stop at a Garage Sale. She cherished all her time spent with her family and friends.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, David Roth of Defiance, her mother, Grace Smith of Lady Lake, FL, her sister, Leanzy (Mark) Bailey of Grand Island, FL, two daughters, Keri (Randy) Gereear of Defiance and Lisa Roth of Archbold, OH, two sons, Eric (Tania) Roth of Maryland and Christopher Roth of Angola, IN, and three grandchildren, Savannah, Nolan, and Alyssa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Smith, and two sisters, Tina Mahlman and Linda Kay.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at First Church of God in Defiance. A Memorial service to celebrate her life will follow at 11:00 am at the church, with Drew Gardner officiating.
Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
