Amber N. (Westrick) Becker

Valerie Smith welcomed Amber into this world on March 9th 1980.  Shortly after she was placed into the arms of Theresa and Michael Westrick. On February 22, 2003 Amber married her true love, Eric Becker. They spent 20 wonderful years of wedded bliss together. Together they had two beautiful children who she adored and cherished. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed serving as a Teacher’s Aide throughout her career with Northeastern Local Schools. Amber loved snow, Christmas, and anything mint chocolate chip. She also enjoyed gardening and creating floral arrangements as well as supporting the Tinora Rams at sporting events, showing her commitment to her family and community. Her honesty and truthfulness were two things you could always rely on and will be forever missed. Amber departed this earth as the sun rose on August 27th, but not without the love of the Lord and surrounded by family. 

Amber is survived by her loving husband Eric Becker, her son Hayden and daughter Taylor, father Michael Westrick, mother Valerie Juhasz (Paul), brother Nathan (Amanda) Westrick of Virginia Beach, VA, and sister Lori Westrick of Ashley, IN, father-in-law Leo (Denise) Becker, brother-in-law Doug (Holly) Becker, and grandparents Louis (Mary) Smith of Tiffin, OH. She is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Theresa Westrick, and grandparents Ron (Rita) Thatcher and Lawrence (Emaline) Westrick.  
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton Street) in Defiance. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. David Cirata officiating.
