Alice P. Gebhart

Alice P. Gebhart, age 94 of Defiance, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. 
  
She was born on December 17, 1930 to Harold and Clara (Fischer) Baringer in Continental, Ohio. On September 1, 1949 she married Edward Gebhart, who preceded her in death on May 21, 2021. 
  
Alice is survived by her daughter, Cathy Eblin of Defiance, her sons, Steven (Pamela) Gebhart of Defiance, and Alan Gebhart of Tennessee, 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, one brother, Charles "Chuck" Baringer and one sister, Kimberly (John) Rue.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Sheri Brown, son, Jan Gebhart, brother, Bill Baringer and sister, Phyllis Ordway.
  
A private graveside service was held at Riverview Memory Gardens in Defiance. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
