Winona L. Coleman, 89, of Defiance, passed away on  Monday, April 21, 2014 at the CHP Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center.

She was born on September 26, 1924 to Carl and Della (Edwards) Hahn in Defiance County.  On March 17, 1945 she married Windell Coleman and he passed away on August 31, 2013.

Winona was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Defiance.  She loved flower gardening, playing piano & organ and taking care of her family.  Winona was a loving mother & devoted wife.

Winona is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Ken) Maynard of Defiance, son, Allan (Zettia) Coleman of Defiance, 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and sister-in-law Edna Hahn of Defiance.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Windell and a brother Charles Hahn.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Schaffer Funeral Home with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Donald L Luhring officiating.  Burial will be at  Riverside Cemetery.

The family suggest memorials be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
