Wilma June Williams, 88, of Defiance, passed away on August 31, 2012 at the CHP Defiance Area In-patient Hospice Center.

She was born on April 21, 1924 to Carl and Nora (Hampshire) Williams in DeKalb County, IN. She married John D. Williams on April 29, 1944 and he survives. Also surviving her are her son, Larry (Deb Peoples) Williams of Defiance, OH, daughter, Nancy (Robert) Swingle of Defiance, OH, 2 grandchildren; David (April) Williams, & Ted (Amanda) Williams, 2 step grandchildren; Rob & John Swingle, and 1 great grandchild, Landon Williams, brother, Donald (Mary) Williams of Continential, OH, sisters, Dolores Wilson of Continental, OH, Shirley (Bob) Ernsberger of Waterville, OH, Donna Lee (John) Leatherman of Oakwood, OH, and Carolyn (Paul) Lee of Spencerville, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Carl, Paul, & Richard Williams, sisters, Virginia Guild, Mabel Fields, and Mary Jean Diven.

Wilma was a 1941 graduate of Continental High School. She worked as a cook at Continental School for 27 years retiring in 1988. She also worked in Lima at Kresge & Jack's Cafeteria. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, playing crow foot dominos, and working puzzles.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 03, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio .

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home, with Rev. Paul Carter officiating.

Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
