Wilma Lou Brashear, 80, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday,  August 10, 2016 in Metamora, Ohio.

She was born on December 14, 1935 to Harold and Fay (Sullens)  in Dungannon, Virginia. On November 30, 1969 she married Guy Brashear, who resides in Defiance. Wilma  retired in 1997 from Campbell Soup Company in Napoleon. She enjoyed gardening, and loved flowers.

Wilma is survived by her loving spouse of 46 years, Guy Brashear of Defiance, sons, Junior (Debra) Dockery, and Roger (Carolyn) Dockery, all of Defiance, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brothers, Macarthur (Jackie) Salyers of Nickelsville, Virginia, and Chuck (Bonnie) Salyers of Deshler, sisters, Della Bevins  and Nell Dockery of Defiance,  Leona Salyers of Continental,  Jean (Dan) Schroeder of Ottawa, and Judy Messer of Hicksville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fay and Harold Salyers, daughter, Diane Vasquez, three brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance. A Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Schaffer Funeral Home, with Pastor Timothy Reynolds officiating. Burial will take place at Monroe Cemetery.
