Wilma A Dodson, 92, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday,  October 4, 2012 at the Laurels of Defiance.

She was born on January 24, 1920 to Earl and Elsie (Bensnyder) Hire in Defiance, OH.She married Paul A Dodson on December 4, 1942 and he passed away on March 14, 1991.  Surviving her are her daughter, Sharon (Gary) Gearhart of Defiance, OH, son, John E Dodson of Defiance, OH, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul A. Dodson, son, James Dodson, son, Thomas Dodson, brothers, Raymond Hire and Richard Hire and a sister, Pauline V. Hire.

Wilma was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church.  She worked with her husband at First Federal for 31 years and formerly worked at S-K Wayne Co and Brown's Bakery and did house cleaning for many residents in the Defiance area..

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 07, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Max Begley officiating.

Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
