William R. Runyan, 26, of Defiance, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Toledo Hospital, Toledo, Ohio. He was born on October 3, 1988 to Randy and Barbara (Niese) Runyan in Napoleon, Ohio. William was a graduate of Defiance High School and Bowling Green State University. He worked at Sauder Woodworking in Archbold, Ohio. William is survived by his parents, Randy Runyan and Barbara Niese of Defiance, brother, Noah Gurney of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and grandmother, Lela Runyan of Defiance. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William I. and Mildred (Langhals) Niese, and Audus Runyan. There will be no services or visitation. Schaffer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the Friends of Feline Rescue Center.
