William R. "Rob" Yates, age 52 of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. He was born on September 18, 1969 to Eugene and Margie (Charles) Yates in Defiance. Rob enjoyed riding his motorcycle and liked his tattoos.  He was a friend to everyone, he never met a stranger.

Rob is survived by his mother, Margie Charles of Defiance, son, Robbie Yates of Napoleon, brothers, Richard (Ronda) Yates of Paulding, and Tom Yates of Bryan. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Yates, and his sister, Debra Mays. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the funeral home, with Rev. Max Begley officiating. Burial will follow the service at Ayersville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
