Dr.William Charles Reeves, 60, of Defiance, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 19, 1957 to William and Margaret (Sorber) Reeves in Elizabeth, NJ. On June 8, 1980 he married Kathleen  O'Neill, whom survives. Dr. Reeves graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Des Moines, IA, and served his residency at Beth Israel Hospital, Newark, NJ.  Dr Reeves served as a Physician for The Defiance Clinic from 2003 until his retirement in 2017, and after his retirement he became the current Defiance County Coroner.   He was a member of the Defiance Eagles Aerie 372 where he was a past officer and current Trustee.  Dr. Reeves in his spare time was an avid golfer and enjoyed taking cruises. . William is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen  Reeves of Defiance, OH, son, Timothy (Kim) Reeves of Ann Arbor, MI, daughter, Kelly Reeves of Defiance, OH, sister, Janis Kiniery of Kempton, PA, and his mother, Margaret Reeves of Kempton, PA. He was preceded in death by father, William S. Reeves, and a son, William Colin Reeves. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Inc., Defiance, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Deacon Jeff Mayer, officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Defiance County Humane Society in Dr. Reeve's memory.
