William B. Notestine, 77, of Ney, passed away on  Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center, Defiance, OH.

He was born on March 28, 1936 to Harley  and Ollie (Strusacker) Notestine in Ney, OH.  On June 15, 1957 he married Evelyn Francis, who survives.

William worked as a Lab Technician for GM for 34 years, retiring in 1989.  He was a member of Ney Church of God, NRA, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting, trains, and NASCAR racing.

William is survived by his loving spouse, Evelyn Notestine of Ney, OH, sons, Richard W. Notestine of Ney, OH, David G. Notestine of Defiance, OH, Randy A. (Karen) Notestine of Raeford, NC, and Rodney R. (Peggy) Notestine of Ney, OH, 7 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Danny D. Notestine, brothers, Jack and Tom Notestine.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2014, from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, and Wednesday, January 15, 2014 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at 11:00 am at  Ney Church of God, Ney OH, with Rev Richard Van Horn, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Ney Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the CHP Defiance Area Hospice Inpatient Center or the church.
