William C. Edgar Jr. William C. Edgar Jr. 79, of Defiance, passed away Friday, April 10th, 2015 in an auto accident near Lima, Ohio on his way back from Florida. Bill was born in Napoleon, Ohio on February 18, 1936, he was the son of the late William and Dorothy (Walters) Edgar. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He married Shirley (Artressia) Edgar who died in 2003. Bill had been employed as the Body Shop manager at Mark Moats Ford retiring in 2006. He was a life member of VFW Post # 3360. Bill enjoyed spending winters in Florida, camping, fishing and riding motorcycles. He will be greatly missed by his sons: Jim Edgar of Ft. Wayne, Scott (Tonya) Edgar of Defiance Others left to cherish is memories include sister: Cathy (Felix) Sanchez of Leipsic, brothers: Dennis (Bonnie) Edgar of Napoleon, Thomas Edgar of New Bavaria, a granddaughter Morgan Edgar, special friend Barbara Call of Defiance and many friends, all will miss him very much. Preceded in death by his wife Shirley, parents and two sisters Lilla Limmer and Janet Rau Service will be at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home 1753 S. Clinton St. Defiance, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15th. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery where VFW Post # 3360 will conduct honorary military graveside rites. Suggested memorials are to the Wounded Warriors Fund.
