William Dexter Weber Jr., 62, of Defiance, Ohio, arrived at his forever home being received by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 2, 2024. Born on August 28, 1962, Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity.

Bill graduated from Tinora High School in 1980 and later attended Toledo University. His professional life was marked by a distinguished 28-year career as a journeyman electrician at General Motors, Defiance Ohio. He also worked as an engineer at Defiance Metal Products. He was passionate about working with international exchange students with the EF Foundation.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Bill loved to worship at Xperience Church. Bills hobbies included traveling the world, camping, swimming, grilling, hunting, and singing and dancing. He cherished the time spent outdoors and had a special bond with his family, especially his grandson, whom he loved dearly.

He leaves behind his spouse of 32 years, Patricia Ponce Weber; daughter, Maria Sleigh and her husband Wesley Sleigh of Defiance, Ohio; grandson, Wesley Sleigh III; stepson, Robert Mendez of Dearborn, Michigan; sister, Jeanne Stewart of Defiance, Ohio; four other sisters; and numerous relatives and friends who will miss him profoundly.

William was preceded in death by his parents, William Weber Sr. and Helen (Gomer) Weber, his sister, Connie Christman, and a very special dog, Gracie Joy Weber.

A service to celebrate William's life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. with Rev, Julian Gonzales and his wife Viola Gonzales officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
